About Me

imageMy name is Randi Edwards, and I'm a theraputic massage therapist and health educator.  I am a graduate from National Holistic Institute, College of Massage Therapy, one the top U.S. colleges for massage therapy.  With over 900 hours of education, I am well-trained to assess your massage needs, and help your body heal itself!

I chose a career in massage therapy because I believe in helping people release tension and stress that can cause other underlying health issues.  Our bodies are powerful storehouses, full of life and the ability to thrive.  However, our muscles can store stress, tension, and painful memories, affecting our mobility, range of motion, and ability to move pain-free.   Overtime, these stressors can affect our ability to thrive in daily life.  Receiving a therapeutic massage on a regular basis can actually address the muscles withholding these stressors, and help the body release them!  This gives the overall feeling of health and well-being!

At the National Holistic Institute, I was trained in many modalities, both Eastern and Western, with the key element of educating clients about the effectiveness of massage and how they, in turn, can take care of their bodies in a way that is beneficial to them.  Some of my favorite modalities are Swedish, Myofascial Therapy, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point Therapy.

In any massage session, it takes a level of trust between the client and therapist to address individual needs and help the body release tension.  I take this trust very seriously as a means to communicate with every client's level of pain tolerance, intensity of pressure, and, ultimately, to help resolve issues of stress held within the body.  Trust goes a long way, and as a practitioner of massage, I honor that professional relationship between client and therapist!
